About Us
Ristorante Piccolo, a cozy fixture in Historic Georgetown’s Little Italy since 1986, had a devastating fire in late 2008 that caused over $1 million worth of damage and drew over 110 firefighters and 50 pieces of fire-fighting equipment, and, after 18 months of vigilant renovation, much of the exterior design and layout has been painstakingly restored to match the period of the 250-year-old building to ensure it retained its’ historic charm. Piccolo, which was established in 1986, still features its famed second-floor balcony overlooking the Historic C&O Canal and its three fireplaces, but now, in addition, showcases two beautiful water features, detailed wrought ironwork, unique handcrafted wall coverings, textile panels and Murano glass light fixtures throughout. Ristorante Piccolo once again charms you with its Tuscan gold hues interspersed with soft lighting, romantic music and its warm, attentive staff.
